Neuropathy Treatment
Hands, Feet & Leg Nerve Rehabilitation
Our neuropathy program is designed for adults with diabetic neuropathy, chemotherapy-induced nerve damage, post-surgical nerve injury, and chronic numbness, tingling, or burning pain.
Neuropathy at Aurora is treated through Occupational Therapy’s sensory-motor retraining model. We focus on how nerve damage impacts balance, grip, walking, safety, and daily activities.

We use:
-
Sensory re-education
-
Nerve stimulation
-
Circulatory enhancement
-
Functional task retraining
Using occupational therapy-driven nerve stimulation, circulation therapy, sensory re-education, and tissue recovery techniques, we work to restore nerve signaling and functional use of the hands and feet. This is not just pain relief. This is nerve retraining.
Clients use this program to:
-
Improve balance and walking safety
-
Reduce numbness and burning
-
Restore hand function
-
Prevent falls and further nerve loss
